Mohanlal Actor (born 21 May 1960) is an actor, film distributor, film producer, playback singer, and television host from India. He is famous for his work on Thiranottam, Janatha Garage, Iruvar, Company, and Oppam.
In India, Mohanlal is one of the most well-known actors. In his more than 40-year career, he has been in more than 300 movies. He has won the National Film Award twice, and the Kerala State Film Award five times.

His father, Viswanathan Nair, was a government employee and his mother, Santhakumari, was a housewife. He has two brothers, Pyarelal and Lalu, and a sister, Lakshmi.
Mohanlal completed his schooling at Mudavanmugal Government High School and then went on to study at Mahatma Gandhi College in Thiruvananthapuram. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
Mohanlal has also sung songs for a few films. His most popular song is “Pranayam,” which is from the film, Oppam. He has also sung for the films, Janatha Garage and Drishyam.
