Mississippi State Mascot Injured By ESPN Golf Cart

Mississippi Mascot Injured

The Mississippi State mascot was injured by an ESPN golf cart on Thursday night during the Egg Bowl. The student inside the “Bully” costume suffered a broken leg and was taken to the hospital.

According to CBS Sports, the student’s name is Michaela Mills, and she suffered a compound fracture to her left leg. She had to undergo surgery to repair the damage. While there was no video of the incident, photos of the injured mascot showed up on Twitter. Even in pain, it appears Mills wanted to stay in character (or conceal the pain she probably felt from audience members).

The Mississippi State mascot’s official Twitter feed updated fans on Friday and Saturday about the status of Mills’ injury, writing:

Hopefully the mascot recovers quickly from her broken leg.
