An internet jury found Miranda Kerr guilty of photoshopping over the weekend. The Victoria’s Secret model, who plead guilty to the charges, said that she was not aware that the photo she posted to Instagram had been altered.
Kerr said that she wanted to share in the VS Fashion Show festivities and decided to post a picture of herself from last year’s show on her Instagram account. Kerr didn’t have one readily available so she found one on the internet and shared it with her fans.
It turns out that the photo she chose had been photoshopped.
Kerr posted an apology for the mishap on Facebook along with the original unaltered image.
“Hi guys, here is the original VS image! When I re-posted the photo this week to support the girls I screen grabbed it off the internet when I was working in Japan. I had no idea it was photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show!”
Kerr removed the photoshopped image from her account but US Magazine reports that the altered image featured a leaner and more defined stomach as well as a glowing effect on Kerr’s face. Judging by the photo above, both changes were completely unnecessary.
Miranda Kerr isn’t a Victoria’s Secret Angel anymore but she is finding plenty of work, as evidence above, as a banana model.
