A Mike Brown memorial in Ferguson, Missouri, was set on fire last night.
It’s unclear what caused the fire. While many people suspect arson, Ferguson Police Department captain Jeremy Corcoran noted that their were several candles at the Mike Brown memorial and the fire could have been accidental.

KMOV reporter Laura Hettiger broke the news. Her initial report cited a witness who claimed that someone set the memorial on fire, but also noted that the area was full of tea candles.

At the moment, there is no evidence that someone set fire to the Mike Brown memorial. Still, the possibility of arson stirred up outrage on Twitter.
