Video has been uncovered of a disturbing performance of a song, mocking the death of Michael Brown. The song, a parody of ‘Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown’, was performed at a charity event in a Glendale, Cali. Elk’s Lodge. The lyrics of the song were changed to poke fun of the sensitive event:
Michael Brown learned a lesson about a messin’
With a badass policeman
And he’s bad, bad Michael Brown
Baddest thug in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong
Meaner than a junkyard dog
Two men took to fightin’
And Michael punched in through the door
And Michael looked like some old Swiss cheese
His brain was splattered on the floor
And he’s dead, dead Michael Brown
Deadest man in the whole damn town
His whole life’s long gone
Deader than a roadkill dog

The event marked the ending of a golf tournament, but even more shocking, it was planned by a retired Los Angeles police officer. TMZ originally discovered the shocking video of the song being performed to an audience, which largely consisted of active and retired police officers.
The event organizer, Joe Meyers, says he had no idea it would be performed. The performer of the racist song, Gary Fishell, has also apologized and said he now realizes the song was in poor taste.
The killing of Michael Brown has sparked social unrest, protests and violence throughout the country. Not exactly comedic material.
