Man Pushed In Front Of Subway Train In New York

A 61-year-old man was killed this weekend when an unidentified man pushed him in front of a subway train in New York.

Wai Kuen Kwok, 61, was waiting for the train with his wife on Sunday morning when someone pushed him onto the tracks in front of an incoming train. The New York Post reports that the train conductor tried to stop the train but there was not enough time.

A witness said that it didn’t appear as if the suspect knew Wai Kuen Kwok or his wife.

The source said: “He doesn’t say a word to them. He just shoves the guy and takes off.”

Authorities released a video on Monday of the man they suspect is responsible for Wai’s death. The video was taken outside of a bodega at Grand Concourse and East 167th Street. Police believe that the suspect lives in the area.

Kwok’s son, Gary, 29, told the NY Post that his father was a good person.

The doctoral student at Adelphi University, said: “He provided for his family … He wanted us to be successful. His plan was to work and get his sons through school. Please tell the world he is a fine, family man.”

An NYPD spokesman told USA Today on Monday morning: “There’s nothing new, unfortunately. We’re still looking.”
