Man of Steel proved to be a huge box office success during its opening weekend, taking in $128 millin in domestic box office. The movie also managed to strike a chord with social media users on Twitter who talked en masse about the new Superman flick.

The team at PCS Ltd recently created a new social media management solution called Social Knowledge and they used that software to determine the engagement levels of Twitter users who have been talking about Man of Steel.

According to the company’s research Man Of Steel received 58,000 positive comments, 28,000 neutral comments, and 16,000 negative comments via Twitter during its opening weekend.

10.81% of all comments said Man of Steel is “awesome” while 9.61% gave the film a simple “good rating.”

As expected the highest level of social media interaction for the film came on Friday night at midnight (CST), within hours of the film opening across the United States.
