The NBA draft has already produced one major new star. Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens, became an instant celebrity last night.
Edens stood in for her father during the NBA draft lottery on Tuesday. At the start of the night, she had about 250 Twitter followers. This morning, that number has jumped to over 33,000.
So what did Edens do to earn her star status? Well, she looked cute.

Who felt luckier last night? Cavs fans for getting #1 draft pick or Bucks fans for learning Mallory Edens is on their team?

The 18-year-old quickly became the talk of the draft and is now being compared to celebrities like Pippa Middleton and Katherine Webb.
Mallory Edens hasn’t responded to her new found fame yet (she’s only sent out about a dozen tweets since she joined the service a few months ago) so we’ll have to wait and see if she’ll use the attention to jump start her career.
But let’s hope that she doesn’t. All we know about Edens at the moment is that she’s cute. And while that’s great, she probably has a lot more to offer. For instance, we already know that she’s lucky. With Mallory Edens standing in for her father, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to land the No. 2 pick in the NBA lottery.
