LinkedIn Users Can Now Display Certifications From Select Organizations

LinkedIn

LinkedIn profiles serve as a resume of sorts for millions of people, and today the social network is rolling out the ability to display certifications.

The new feature is part of its Direct-to-Profile Certifications pilot program, and here are the online education companies involved:

  • Coursera
  • EdX
  • Lynda.com
  • Pearson
  • Skillsoft
  • Udacity
  • Udemy

After completing a course with one of the above companies, users will receive an email about the certification they just received.

They can click the “Add to profile” button, and once the name of the certification and place received is filled out, it should now appear on their LinkedIn profile.

Yesterday, LinkedIn removed its news product LinkedIn Today in favor of the recently acquired Pulse newsreader.
