LinkedIn Shuts Down ‘Bang With Professionals’ After One Week

Bang With Professionals

It only took one week for LinkedIn to revoke API access to the new hook-up app ‘Bang With Professionals.’ Much like Facebook’s ‘Bang With Friends’ app the platform was meant to hook up business professionals who were looking for adult encounters.

On the ‘Bang With Professionals’ page the founder of the app writes:

“We all knew it was only a matter of time before our API key was revoked. Well, it just was!”

The app was slapped together by two programmers for fun and they promise LinkedIn users that their info has been deleted permanently. The apps founders write:

“Don’t worry, your data was safe all along. We just deleted all of the user ids and the only thing that will be left is this landing page.”

In a statement to AllThingsD a LinkedIn official reveals:

“We believe this developer and application are in violation of our LinkedIn Developer TOS as they are using our APIs in a manner that are inconsistent with the goals of our Developer Program … As a result we have disabled their access to the LinkedIn APIs.”

LinkedIn specifically forbids “adult activities in Section III, part A.2.C of its developer terms of service.

So what does the develop team have to say? Kate Doe, on of the people working on the app reveals:

“We’d like everyone to know we were just having a good time testing technologies and seeing how far it could go before we would be revoked. We’ll probably sell the domain to whoever wants to pay for it. Maybe recovering our 57 dollars in the process.”

If you want to Bang With Professionals you’ll have to do it the old fashioned way, hook up at a company Christmas party.
