Kobe Bryant isn’t having any of that homophobic trash talk on his Twitter feed. Kobe scolded two of his fans today after they used “gay” in a derogatory fashion.
Kobe, who joined Twitter this year, told his fans to delete “you’re gay” from their vocabulary.
Just letting you know@PacSmoove @pookeo9 that using “your gay” as a way to put someone down ain’t ok! #notcool delete that out ur vocab

But before you stand up and applaud Kobe for being a voice of reason in the Twitterverse, you might recall that Bryant was fined $100,000 in 2011 for calling a ref a “f*cking f*ggot.”
Kobe still remembers the incident and so do many of his Twitter followers. The Black Mamba was criticized for being a hypocrite and @pooke09 and @PacSmoove were almost let off the hook. But Kobe came back with another tweet saying that he has learned from his mistakes and that others should do the same.
@onepercentofone @pookeo9 exactly! That wasn’t cool and was ignorant on my part. I own it and learn from it and expect the same from others

Do you think Kobe was right to scold one of his fans?
