Kings Of Leon Postpone Tour After Bus Accident

The Kings Of Leon announced today that they will be canceling their August tour dates after drummer Nathan Followill broke his ribs in a bus accident.

According to a statement on the band’s Facebook page, the band’s tour bus was on its way to a hotel in Boston when it crashed trying to avoid a pedestrian.

The band writes: “The band was en route to their hotel after a show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing it to stop short. Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well.”

The band said that it is canceling all shows for the next two weeks while Followill recovers.

The band adds: “Nathan is on strict doctor’s orders to rest to give himself adequate time to recover before the band can pick back up on their much buzzed about Mechanical Bull Tour.”

People Magazine reports that the band will still appear on Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night. Questlove will sit on for Followill during that performance.
