Meet Juno the Beluga. Juno is one of the personalities over at Mystic Aquarium at Connecticut and probably the closest thing we’ll ever get to the Curious George of the cosmopolitan aquatic world, because this cutie just loves to get all curious and social.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy held a press conference at the aquarium, and focused on a very, verrrrry serious topic of the states growth via tourism. Which is all very well and good, but the press pretty much took away one important thought for the day: Juno the Beluga Whale is a thing, and the world is brighter because of her.

I mean, seriously, just look at her.
From that point on, Juno just sort of hung around, swimming by, giving that “Ohai, gaiz!” look to everyone else in the audience section. 13 minutes in, someone just couldn’t take it anymore, and pointed out Juno’s presnece. To which Governor Maloy replied: “You’ve been watching the whole time. I was offered to the opportunity pet it, but I declined.”
You had one chance, Governor. Just one chance.
This hasn’t been the first time this coy, candid cetacean has made waves at her enclosure in Mystic Aquarium. (See what I did there?) Juno once played with a couple of kids through the viewing glass, and this video went viral overnight:
And then another time, she was serenaded by a Mariachi trio playing the folk song “Yellow Bird”. That amazed look on her face just screams through the glass, “Oh my! Music, for me?” Watch her nod in time and approval. It’s enough to make you want to cry.
