User management solutions company Janrain has announced a new integration standard for Google+ Sign-In. Customers who implement the Janrain User Management Platform (JUMP), can now allow for simultaneous streamlining of user registration or sign-ins for Google users. The company also says the integration will help website owners gather key public profile data for better engagement practices.
Janrain is preparing to release its Quarterly Social Login Trends Report and the company says in that report that Google is continuing to gain social login market share. The report finds that a third of online consumers are choosing to use their Google credentials to log into Janrain supported websites.
Seth Sternberg, Director of Product Management at Google notes:
“Google+ Sign-In gives users a trusted way to use their Google credentials to securely access apps and involve friends in the app. It also makes it easy for web users to discover and download a web site’s Android app. We’re excited that Janrain will help bring these new capabilities to more users and developers.”
Janrain’s social login platforms have become an industry standard for many website owners who want to allow users the option to choose which social platforms they use for login and registration purposes. The company currently supports more than 30 profile types including Yahoo, Google, Facebook, and Twitter platforms, among others.
With the addition of Google+ profile logins users can give access to their profile name, profile pic, email address, and people in their circles. That information in turn can help strengthen a web platforms understanding of its user base.
Speaking about Janrain’s new social integration with Google+ Angela Sanchez, VP of Direct Marketing at Universal Music Group Distribution reveals:
“We’ve been using social login to make the registration process easier and drive engagement on our music artist sites for more than four years. We’re excited to support Google+ Sign-in and offer our fans another fast and easy way to sign-up and participate on our artist communities.”
Janrain CEO Larry Drebes adds:
“Consumers place a significant amount of trust in their online identity providers, which is why social login is so popular. We’re pleased to see Google trending in a positive direction. The integration of Google+ Sign-In is a significant milestone in our efforts to offer the broadest range of technology support so our customers such as NPR, HSN and Universal Music Group can capture key profile data that allows them to improve customer engagement and marketing.”
Will you be logging into your Google+ account when that option is available from Janrain partners?
