Instagram Ads have been slowly rolling out on user’s feeds, and according to a recent report, Ben Jerry’s increased its followers by 20 percent.
Statigram analyzed the ice cream giant’s performance with Instagram Ads, and found the following:
- Ben Jerry’s added over 50,000 new followers.
- Its first ad received over 386,000 likes or around a 2,000 percent increase over an average post.
- Daily follower growth increased from an average of 429 followers to over 7,200 followers after introducing ads.
According to Statigram’s Marketing PR Manager Romain Ouzeau, comments on Ben Jerry’s Instagram Ads were more positive than on other posts.
“Comments on these ads seem much more positive than they were on [Michael] Kors and GE’s. Most of them include mentions which of course have a positive impact on engagement and reach.”
In early November, GE posted an Instagram ad of its “Most Powerful Jet Engine” which generated nearly 60,000 likes.
