Ice Bucket Challenge Getting Celebrities’ Attention: Justin Timberlake Challenges Jimmy Fallon

Justin Timberlake ice bucket challenge

On Monday, August 11, Justin Timberlake uploaded a video to YouTube accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge from two Boston Marathon survivors, Patrick Downes and Jessica Kensky, a local married couple.

In case you are unsure of what the Ice Bucket Challenge does, it is a campaign raising money for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. A viral movement originating at Boston College that has caught the attention of celebrities like Elizabeth Banks, certain athletes, and the Kennedys. The challenge is simple: pour a bucket full of ice water on top of yourself, donating money to the ALS fund, and then challenging others to do the same with only 24 hours to do it.

JT and the Tennessee kids accpeted the challenge and have reached over 200,000 views in two days. As you see in the video above, Timberlake challenged Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins, and The Roots. The Tonight Show clan, including guest Rob Riggle accepted the #AlsIceBucketChallenge and completed their task on The Tonight Show yesterday. Watch that video below.
