Ice Bucket Challenge. Three words you have definitely heard unless you were on a remote vacation with no wifi or cell service. There are two kinds of people who react to the Ice Bucket Challenge, the ones who respond to a challenge, dump the water, challenge more people, and donate. And the other kind are the individuals who are upset people dumping water on their heads without looking into what ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, actually is and what this campaign is really accomplishing.
The New York Times reported that “as of Sunday, the association said it had received $13.3 million in donations since July 29, compared with $1.7 million during the same period last year. It said there were about 260,000 new donors.” Seems like something about dumping ice water on your head is working.
With that being said, some celebrities are getting pretty creative. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt, or some of you may know him as Andy from Parks and Recreation, switched things up a bit for his Ice Bucket Challenge. Not only does it include the standard ice water, but it has ice vodka and a Smirnoff Ice. Watch the greatness below.
His co-star, Nick Offerman, responded on Twitter in the Nick Offerman way and the social media world is waiting on the edge of their seat for his response.
