Hunter Biden Discharged From Navy For Cocaine Use

Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden was reportedly kicked out of the Navy in February after testing positive for cocaine.

According to NBC News, Hunter failed a drug test in 2013. He was discharged in February of this year.

Biden said in a statement: “It was the honor of my life to serve in the US Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.”

Hunter, 44, joined the Navy Reserves as an ensign in 2012. The Wall Street Journal reports that Biden needed a special waiver to join the Navy since he was 42-years-old at the time, 8 years older than the maximum allowable age to enlist.

Hunter Biden is currently a managing partner at the investment company Rosemont Seneca Partners. He also serves as a chairman for World Food Program USA.
