The HTC Myst (codename) is believed to be the company’s next attempt at a Facebook phone and now details from the device have been leaked.

The team at Unwired View uncovered the devices rumored specs. The Myst is the third Facebook phone from HTC and it is expected to include deeper integration than the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa Facebook phones.

According to report the new HTC Facebook phone will include a pre-installed Facebook app, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and it will feature 1GB RAM.

HTC is also expected to offer a 4.3-inch display that pushes out 720p graphics. The display is also expected to border near ‘Retina’ type output with 320ppi.

Also believed to be included on the Facebook phone is 16GB internal memory, no microSD card support and a backside facing 5-megapixel camera. HTC is also rumored to be offering a front-facing 1.6-megapixel camera and 4G LTE support.

Other bits of connectivity include Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n.

While the devices focus will be on Facebook it will also work with Google thanks to the Android 4.1.2 ‘Jelly Bean’ OS. There is still the possibility that the company will update the phone to Android 4.2 ‘Jelly Bean’ before launch.

Q2 2013 appears to be the release date for the HTC Facebook phone. HTC was originally expected to launch the smartphone in late 2012.
