A good idea: putting your phone away while driving. A bad idea: eating cookies while driving. An even worse idea: creating a cookie that looks like an iPhone and then purposefully attempting to trick a police officer into pulling you over.
Comedian Randy Liedtke played out that exact scenario recently and he ended up being taken into custody, although not for the cookie charge.
Rather than telling you the story in our own words we will let Randy’s Twitter account do the talking:
Made iPhone Cookies to trick cops into pulling me over, I’ll just take a bite and ask if cookies are against the law. pic.twitter.com/MBGYAH1hiH

Just saw a police car going the other way. Gonna turn around and see if I can catch up and drive by it. #iphonecookie

After being pulled over Liedtke tweeted the following message:
Took a bite out of the cookie. He was so confused and angry. Told me to hold tight, he is back in his car now.

And the final result?
Says I have a warrant for unpaid parking tickets? Making me go with him. Letting me text gf but Im tweeting this. pic.twitter.com/vv89MUqg0Q

Liedtke says he has since learned his lesson and will no longer make fake iPhone cookies to fool police officers.
Wasn’t worth it. I’m an idiot… No more iPhone Cookies pic.twitter.com/MbQZq0UA9O
