Grumpy Cat Stars In New Cheerios Commercial

Grumpy Cat’s stardom continues to rise, with everyones favorite non-happy cat starring in a new Cheerios commercial.

The commercial, created by Saatchi & Saatchi for Honey Nut Cheerios, sees Grumpy Cat meeting the Cheerios’ mascot Buzz the Bee.

Buzz the Bee tries to cheer Grumpy Cat up with a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios, while Grumpy is…not surprisingly frown. But then there’s a twist: Grumpy Cat lets Buzz in on a little secret: she has been smiling all along.

Admittedly the commercial isn’t all that exciting (unless you’re a serious Grumpy Cat groupie) however it does expose Grumpy Cat to a wider audience prior to the release of the Grumpy Cat movie.

Yes, Grumpy Cat has a movie deal.

The movie “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” is due to be released on the Lifetime channel sometime near Christmas 2014.
