According to Twitter, Gerard Henderson’s political career is officially over.
The Australian author and political commentator went on Late Line last night to discuss the resignation of NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell with Fairfax journalist Kate McClymont. But it really wasn’t much of a discussion. The debate quickly became an argument and many people placed the blame on Henderson.

Henderson didn’t really try to cooperate with McClymont and many people accused the author of making up facts. Now, I’m not an expert on Australian politics but I do enjoy a good meme. And if all decisions were based on funny photos, well, Gerard Henderson should step away from the microphone.

Gerard Henderson rudely talks over @Kate_McClymont when he doesn't know the real facts. He's a waste of #ABC air time. #lateline

Despite his disposition throughout the segment, Henderson ended the debate with “It was an absolute pleasure.”
Unfortunately, we can’t embed the video on SND but you can watch it here on Lateline.
Gerard Henderson was a little rude to Kate McClymont and frequently tried to make his point by simply raising his voice and speaking over her, but this was a relatively polite conversation compared to some of the screaming matches we’ve seen on the news.
