Taco Bell recently started serving breakfast and McDonald’s is doing everything it can to make sure that you forget about it. They started a free coffee campaign last week and now the chain is holding impromptu concerts.

This morning, Karmin rode a giant McDonald’s bus around New York City to give fans, and potential Taco Bell customers, a free concert.

Karmin also shared a few photos on Instagram writing: “Serenading NYC Style with McCafe… on a double decker bus…”

Yes, McDonald’s is going on an all out Free Coffee assault to make sure that no one goes into a Taco Bell between the hours of 5 am and 11 am. They’ve been retweeting McCafe fans, walking around with giant coffee thermoses, and, of course, there’s that giant double decker advertisement making its way around New York.

Of course, Taco Bell isn’t taking all of this lying down. The restaurant has started it’s own social media blitz to draw people into the restaurant for breakfast tacos. They took photos of a few “babes” eating tacos…

They greeted the morning sun with a new breakfast item.

They also started a #wakeuplivemas hashtag and are encouraging people to send in photos from their Taco Bell breakfast.

Taco Bell’s new morning menu is intriguing and they’ll definitely see an uptick in morning customers over the next few weeks. Of course, McDonald’s is making sure that those taco eaters pass a few free coffee concerts before they arrive at the doors.
