Flickr was rumored last month to launch a redesign of its mobile apps, and today the photo site began rolling out a brand new look on iOS and Android.
The app has been completely overhauled on both platforms, though both have some minor differences.
On Android, navigation icons such as your home feed, which displays content from those you follow, search, your profile and notifications are at the top alongside the camera button.
The layout is reversed on iOS, however, browsing your feed and interacting with photos or videos is virtually identical on both.
You can “fave,” comment or share as before, and viewing advanced details about a photo or video is very reminiscent of the Yahoo Weather design.
The camera has also been redesigned with 14 different filters, including basic features such as cropping and multiple enhancement features that users come to expect.
Users can now upload HD videos up to 30 seconds in length, and just like Instagram, you can cut out segments that you don’t like, and apply a filter to videos.
In case you haven’t been keeping track, Vine allows you to record six-second clips, Instagram 15-second clips, and now with Flickr, 30-second clips. Oh dear.
Flickr still offers one terabyte of free storage, and the service currently hosts over 10 billion photos and videos.
