A young man has become the first winner publicly of the National Lottery Set For Life and now will receive $12,147.45 monthly for the next 30 years.

24-year-old Dean Weymes yesterday claimed the top prize after he matched the main five numbers and one Life Ball whilst playing the latest National Lottery game for the first time. This suggests he will have garnered a whopping $4,373,082 by the time his 54th birthday arrives. First on his ‘bucket list’ is a trip to Disneyland Paris and following he plans on performing a tandem skydive. Weymes stated: “This win will mean lots of extra spending money. I am now worry free for the rest of my life. Everything still seems quite unreal – the news really is still sinking in. I cannot actually believe that I am really going to be able to do these things – and do them right now.” The fledgling screenwriter stresses he is ‘living the dream’ and quit his part-time job even in the Amazon transport team.
He furthered: “It is just incredible. I am 24 and I am now literally set for life. Getting $12,147 every month allows me to start working through my bucket list. I have always wanted to fulfill my dream to become a script writer and this now allows me the freedom to do it. I didn’t have to give it a second thought – I quit my current role so I can begin to work on the job I have always wanted. It is an incredible feeling that I will be getting $12,147 every month for 30 years – I literally am living the dream.”
