Facebook’s New News Feed: How To Get In Line For New Features

How to sign up for the new Facebook News Feed

When Facebook announced its new News Feed, Thursday they said it would be rolling out to desktops starting that day.

We reported about the new features and streamed the event live on Social News Daily, but if Facebook announced that users had to join a waiting list to get the features rolled out to my account, I completely missed that part of the announcement.

I waited, and waited, went to sleep, woke up, and waited some more. I asked my friends if anyone had gotten the new News Feed. No one had, but one friend pointed me toward this…

Facebook.com/about/newsfeed

It’s a big pretty page that shows off the cleaner, photo centric News Feed as it will look in browsers and on mobile phones. Below that is a demo of the new “Feeds Switcher.”

The new interface has been carefully designed to provide a consistent experience from browser, to phone, to tablets.

When you’ve scrolled down through all the pretty pictures and animated graphic demos and a YouTube video where the team talks about the new design, at the bottom of the page is an invitation to, “Give it a try.”

If you’re excited about the new News Feeds, and want them added to your own account any time soon, go click click that button and get in line!
