Facebook Revenue Up 63%, Hits 1.23 Billion Monthly Active Users

Facebook shared its Q4 2013 earnings today, and reported a 63 percent increase in revenue to $2.59 billion.

For the first time ever, mobile ad revenue made up more than half or 53 percent of total revenue, and net income was $523 million.

In terms of active users, here are the latest results:

  • 1.23 billion monthly active users (16 percent increase year-over-year)
  • 757 million daily active users (22 percent increase year-over-year)
  • 945 million mobile monthly active users (39 percent increase year-over-year)
  • 556 million mobile daily active users (49 percent increase year-over-year)

Nearly 77 percent of Facebook’s monthly active users now access the social network on mobile, and here’s what CEO Mark Zuckerberg had to say:

“It was a great end to the year for Facebook. We’re looking forward to our next decade and to helping connect the rest of the world.”

Currently in after hours, Facebook stock is up nearly nine percent.
