Facebook Offering Users The Chance To Auto-Post New Year’s Eve Messages

Facebook Auto Post New Years Messages

In years past millions of Facebook users have taken to the social network on New Year’s Eve to send “Happy New Years” status updates to all of their friends. Literally at the stroke of midnight users have launched their mobile and desktop apps to send their messages. Now Facebook is urging customers to use a new auto-post feature to share those same “Welcome to 2013” posts.

Facebook has setup an automated system that allows users to type in a New Year’s message now and then post it just as 2013 arrives.

Setup for midnight status update delivery the system can be used here. The status update system is part of Facebook Stories and is live right now.

Facebook as part of the service allows users to select which friends messages should be delivered to and it offers a haphazard “suggestions” box for friends that doesn’t seem to offer any rhyme or reason (be warned).

Will you take advantage of Facebook New Years auto posting or will you just pull out your smartphone and tap away at the stroke of midnight?
