Apparently Miss London Eley does not read SocialNewsDaily, because if she did, she would have known not to advertise and or solicit illegal activity via her Facebook Status Updates.
But Eley, 20, is making headlines nationally after she updated on Facebook to ostensibly seek a hitman to whack her babydaddy. (I will mention here that you should also not respond to a Facebook Status Update with the intention to engage in nefarious deeds- like, in response to a barbecue invite, “great, I’ll bring heroin and some spoons!”)
The interaction in question (to be fair, predating our warning) occurred on May 23rd, when Eley offered “a stack” in exchange for the murder of her father’s child. And funnily enough, she had a taker:
According to NBC Philadelphia, the 20-year-old who took Eley up on her offer, Tim Bynum, responded to her by stating, “say no more….what he look like?…. where he be at?”
The young man then apparently went a step further by telling Eley that he needed the money upfront in order to seal the deal. In no uncertain terms, he stated, “need dat stack 1st… ima mop that bull.”
And for the love of all that’s holy, if you are going to plan a murder publicly on Facebook, make sure you defriend all your victim’s family members before you start to get your felony on:
Ironically Eley’s ex contacted the authorities when his aunt happened to stumble upon the back and forth comments between the young mom and her intended hit-man-for-hire on Facebook.
Not surprisingly, Eley and the young man who offered to smoke her ex were taken into custody Friday. Eley charged with solicitation to commit murder and is being held on $250,000 bail. Alleged co-conspirator Tim Bynam was arrested, and a search of his home turned up a loaded .22 with an etched off serial number- perfect for carrying out a hit! Bynam’s bail was set at $350,000.
