Earshot is a new social CRM for businesses, and helps brands see social media updates around a specific location, and quickly respond to them.
Using geo-fencing technology, Earshot monitors tweets, Instagram photos and Foursquare check-ins according to their proximity of a specific business.
Depending on their settings, a business can be alerted of an update, and then respond on the web or the mobile app via Twitter, SMS or a private message through the Earshot app.
While the service is geared towards business, consumers can also download the app which is necessary for SMS or private messaging.
Available on iOS and Android, the Earshot app offers benefits to consumers such as private, one-on-one communication with a business, including access to special discounts or deals.
Users can control their privacy, remaining anonymous through the Direct feature if they so choose, and also block businesses that they do not want to interact with.
Even further, no personal information is ever shared with anyone.
Earshot is free for consumers, and cost for businesses varies based on the number of licenses, and geofences or proximities they want to monitor.
