Drowned Dog Facebook Photo Leads To Owners Arrest [Warning: Shocking Image]

Drowned Dog Facebook Photo

A drowned dog Facebook photo has led to the arrest of the animals owner.

The unnamed man tied his dog to a rock and then left him to drown in high-tide.

A dog walker found the poor pooch’s body in the sand at low tide and quickly snapped a photo which they placed on their own Facebook account.

The incident occurred in Huelva, Spain and the Facebook post led to tens of thousands of shares. Eventually a Facebook user recognized the dog and called police.

Police say the man drowned his dog after he couldn’t afford the vet fees to put him down humanely.

According to police:

“Instead he tied the dog to a rock on the beach and left there to drown when the tide came in. A suspect is facing animal cruelty and abuse charges.”
