Donald Trump Is Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down
The web is aflame with commentary after potential First Lady Melania Trump apparently plagiarized a large portion of her keynote speech from one delivered by Michelle Obama in 2008. But astute viewers may have noticed something else.
This Twitter user points it out:

That’s right. Melania Trump just rickrolled America. So not only did Mrs. Trump’s speechwriters blatantly steal material from Michelle Obama’s speech, as my colleagues reported at Reverb Press, but they also engaged in the act of inserting lines from Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up into a speech at a nationally televised media event. This undertaking is best known as “rickrolling.”

But maybe her speechwriters aren’t to blame. After all, Melania insists she wrote the speech herself. “I read once over it and that’s all,” she told NBC, “because I wrote it, and with as little help as possible.
Yet Jason Miller, Trump’s senior communications adviser, released a follow-up statement which said that a “team of writers took notes on her life’s inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking.”
