Man Accused Of Robbing The Same Dairy Queen Twice In 2 Hours

A man was arrested on suspicion of sticking up the same Dairy Queen twice in one day. During those robberies, he too tried and failed to carjack two people.

via Facebook; Pueblo cops say Levi Roberts went to hold up a Dairy Queen Monday night, tried to steal a vehicle, and then returned later to attempt and jack a car again

Levi John Roberts, 37, initially robbed the ice cream store in Pueblo, Colorado around 9 p.m. Sunday, at which time authorities responded to a call about an armed robbery, accordant to KRDO in Colorado. Reportedly the bandit got away with an unknown amount of cash, though was forced to make his flee on foot after unsuccessfully attempting to carjack a customer at the restaurant’s drive-thru window. Officers responding had no luck locating him at the time. Around 10:40 p.m., less than two hours later, law enforcement got another opportunity when Roberts supposedly returned to the scene of the crime and held up the Dairy Queen on Oakshire Lane again.

Once more, he also tried to steal a car on his way out — this one owned by a Dairy Queen employee — though failed to get away with the vehicle. Police then whipped out their night vision equipment and went on the hunt for Roberts. He was allegedly found lurking in a prairie. The two-timing burglar attempted to run, accordant to KKTV, but was detained and charged with felony menacing, robbery and attempted robbery.
