Crowdsourced Knowledge Hub Learnist Adds Reading Lists And Refreshes Design

Learnist

Learnist, described as ‘Pinterest for education’ is a crowdsourced collection of the world’s knowledge. The startup provides tools that users can use to create, curate, and share content that can be used to educate across various topics.

The company has redesigned its website, refreshing the interface and adjusting the layout to make it easier for users to create and save educational lessons.

Learnist was developed by the team who built Grockit, a social learning platform that was solid to test preparation company Kaplan in 2013.

Grockit was focused on helping users prepare for tests online, where Learnist is an educational platform with a broader selection of subjects that its users can learn about and share.

Learnist’s sleeker design has simplified the experience, making content front and center.

The company also added a ‘Reading list”, a feature that allows users to save content so they can access it for later use.

In addition, categories have been added to help users find content that interests them. There’s now hundreds of subcategories users can browse through from the front page.

Content curation has been redesigned to make it easier for users to share their knowledge. Users can make their own boards, and if their content is high quality they can be featured on the front page.
