Crittercism Raises $30M, Signs Mobile App Performance Deal With Accenture

Mobile app performance monitoring platform Crittercism has secured $30 million in a new round of funding. The company provides mobile app performance monitoring for the likes of Netflix, LinkedIn, Yahoo, Pinterest, and others.

The new round of funding was led by Scale Venture Partners with participation from InterWest Partners, VMWare and Accenture.

Accenture will implement Crittercism’s technology in its mobile enterprise offering known as the Accenture Application Factory.

With $30M in new funding Crittercism will also provide additional services by way of a new API. With its new “zero-touch App Wrapping solution” the platform will no longer require a platforms source code to monitor a company’s mobile apps.

The firm has now raised $48 million. Past investments have included Google Ventures, Opus Capital, and Shasta Ventures.

Crittercism claims to have monitored more than 1 billion mobile devices for crashes and other bugs.

“The mobile app landscape has become increasingly more complex and fragmented, creating entirely new sets of challenges for Ops, IT and development teams,” said Andrew Levy, Co-Founder and CEO of Crittercism. “This investment gives Crittercism the opportunity to take our operations to the next level, accelerate our enterprise offerings and bolster our capabilities to scale the business internationally.”
