Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn had some interesting advice for our social media-obsessed society: Step away from the computer and concentrate on your real-life relationships.
“We live in a society of social networks and Twitter pages and Facebook. That’s fine and stuff, but you know, we have contact with our work associates, our family, our friends and it seems like half the time we’re more preoccupied with our phone and other things going on instead of the actual relationships we have in front of us,” Quinn said at a press conference on December 2, just 24 hours after teammate Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and committed suicide.
“Hopefully, people can learn from this, and try to actually figure out if someone’s battling something deeper on the inside than what they may be revealing on a day-to-day basis,” Quinn added.
Though we can’t say for sure whether or not Quinn pulled a Bob Costas and tried to imply blame in the Belcher situation on social media instead of gun control laws, we can show you the tape and let you decide for yourself. Should society spend less time on social media and more time IRL?

P.S. – Is it just us, or does Brady Quinn look like he could be Justin Bieber’s jock older brother?
