By Watching This Video Of Puppies, You’re Donating Money To Charity

Charity Video for PEDIGREE Adoption Drive

I know it’ll be extremely difficult for some of you, (oh please, we all love cute animal clips), but by watching this video of puppies, you’ll be donating money to charity.

Every year thousands of dogs are lost and abandoned – left to wander the streets or be housed in shelters. In hopes of aiding these misplaced canines, the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive – a New Zealand-based charity – is sponsoring a “Share for Dogs” video campaign in order to raise money and awareness.

The charity found a clever way to feature adorable puppies as a way to raise money for dogs in need. All you need to do is watch.

But how does this work?

YouTube has a feature called monetization. Using it, if you create your own content and it’s approved, YouTube will strategically place ads inside or near the video. The uploader, in this case the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive, then earns 55 percent of the advertising revenue.

How well this works though depends on a couple of factors, such as the type of ads and the pricing of ads appearing with the video.

Regardless, all money raised goes toward feeding, treating and finding homes for dogs in need, according to the charity.

Thus, by simply watching this video of cute, cuddly awe-inducing puppies, you’re donating money to charity.

Alas, millions of animals are lost, abandoned, and or unfortunately found abused every year worldwide. Therefore there are several other helpful animal-focused charities available to help cats, dogs, ferrets, rats, rabbits, and horses alike – making sure they receive food, medical care, and shelter.

These programs include but are not limited to: Alley Cat Allies, ASPCA, Patriot PAWS, Humane Society, PetSmart Charities, Italian Greyhound Club of Ameirca Rescue, and PugSavers.
