BlackBerry launched BBM on Android and iOS last month, and today the smartphone maker announced it’s finally rolling out BBM Channels.
Unveiled back in May, BBM Channels are the company’s response to a social network.
Similar to Twitter, users or brands can create profiles on BBM, and others can follow them.
You can “like,” comment or share posts, receive notifications, and chat privately with other users.
There’s also additional functionality such as posting questions, and the ability to share animated gifs.
BlackBerry says BBM Channels are rolling out today to devices running BlackBerry OS 5 or higher, and the new social network will make its way to BBM for iOS and Android in the following months.
