Ford Unveils Bed That Moves Mattress-Hoggers Back To ‘Their Side’

Nothing’s worse than a bed-hogger – it’s even an issue that can potentially terminate even the greatest of relationships.

There’s a tiny yet very bothersome percentage who morph into nomadic monsters that are unwilling to remain on ‘their side’ of the bed, propelling their long-distressing mates closer and closer to the edge. No worries, though, for those times could be yesterday’s news as Ford has concocted a bed to end this slumbering misery.

Their latest Lane-Keeping Bed, saves sleep-disadvantaged partners from grasping uneasily to the end of the bed. The car titan created the breakthrough by adjusting its lane-centering technology, which is utilized to make certain operators keep in the middle of their lane.

Dr. Neil Stanley, sleep expert, states humans are extremely sensitive to any sort of commotion when they are asleep. “When sleeping together, many couples each have less space than a small child has in a single bed,” he said.

“Humans are most vulnerable when sleeping, so we’re programmed to wake when something or someone touches us unexpectedly. If someone moves on to your side of the bed, this defense mechanism will kick in and you’ll have a broken night, often while they continue to sleep soundly. I’ve seen it ruin relationships.”

Tony Ireson, of Ford in Europe, explained: “We thought that showing how similar thinking could be applied to a bed would be a great way to highlight to drivers a technology that they might not previously have been aware of.”
