Carlos Danger is back. Anthony Weiner stepped out of the spotlight after his failed bid to become the Mayor of New York City but it looks like he’s ready to embark on a new chapter of public humility.
Anthony Weiner has returned to Facebook.
Weienr stopped posting to his personal Facebook page back in September of 2012. He returned a few days before Christmas and has been posting family photos and political links.
It’s unclear why the disgraced politician decided to return to Facebook but it doesn’t look like he has a political agenda. At least, not at the moment. He posted a message on his official candidate page this week explaining his plans for the future, which, for the moment, don’t really exist.
Weiner writes: “I do want to take stock a bit of 2013. It certainly didn’t go as I had hoped. I continue to be deeply sorry that my personal mistakes undermined an amazing campaign that included too many amazing staffers to mention and hundreds of volunteers and many of you who kept active from afar with ideas, contributions and encouraging notes … What’s next? I’ll keep you posted on my plans.”
Social media hasn’t been the kindest to Anthony Weiner over the years. In 2011, the congressman accidentally posted a sexting photo to his account, and, well, it’s been all downhill from there.
