Is that an alien? A human? Some sort of robot? A photo of a strange looking shadow on the surface of the moon is going viral today and many conspiracy theorists believe that it could be some sort of alien creature.
The image reportedly came from a collection of NASA images. Some people initially thought that the shadowy figure was drawn onto the image but that doesn’t appear to be the case since YouTube user WowForreeel was able to find the image again on Google Moon.
WowForreeel writes: At first I thought that maybe something was drawn on the image but after going to GMoon whatever it is or isn’t, uhhhh is there.
The video has been viewed more than two million times as internet users search for explanations. The most logical explanation is that the alien is simply a shadow off of a misshapen rock. It could also be a weird glitch in the camera.
Or, maybe, it’s an alien.
Some people are even speculating that the figure could somehow be the Ancient Greek statue “The Colossus of Rhodes.” The statue was lost in a harbor after an earthquake in 226 BC but the aliens obviously found it, brought it up to space, then rebuilt it on the moon.
Yep, that must be what happened.
