How does a simple bike ride turn into an arrest? Well, it’s easy if you’re Alec Baldwin.
The 30 Rock actor was arrested this morning after he was caught riding his bike against traffic in New York City. According to the NY Daily News, Baldwin became “belligerent” after he was asked for identification.
A police source said: “He became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers, ‘I don’t have ID. Just give me the f—–g summonses.'”
Shortly after the arrest a photo started circulating around the internet. The image shows Baldwin in handcuffs before he is put into the back of a squad car.

Alec Baldwin “quit public life” after a series of snafus earlier this year. Of course, that’s not really a choice that an actor can make.

Now, there are a few ridiculous things about this Alec Baldwin story. First, the actor may really need to consider some anger management classes. He’s been in the news several times over the years for losing his temper. Second, the NYPD actually arrested someone for biking against traffic. Aren’t there criminals to catch? Donuts to eat?
Baldwin was issued a summons for riding a bicycle the wrong way down a street. The NY Daily News reports that he was also cited for disorderly conduct before he was released.
