Faith Linderman found Tigger the cat under a truck outside her work 10 years ago. She immediately fell in love, and when she bought him home, she found that she wasn’t the only one.
Tigger immediately took to Faith’s dad, and loves snuggling up in his lap. So much so, it’s now part of the duo’s morning routine.
The day begins with Tigger waiting for his dad to wake up and feed him breakfast. His dad then enjoys his own breakfast, before getting ready for work. The pair then get cosy on the couch at roughly 7:30am, where they watch the news and have a 30 minute cuddle before his dad heads off to his job.
Faith told The Dodo: ““He gets at least a half hour of cuddle time in.
“And if his brother Boots tries to get there first, Tig will just sit on him ’til he moves. That is his daddy.”
Once his dad has gone to work, Tigger will go and find a place to chill until he comes home. But he immediately hops into his lap the minute he’s back for more snuggles.
Cuddle time is clearly very important to Tigger. If his dad is running late and doesn’t have time for their morning snuggle, he’ll sulk all day.
“He will sit in the living room, hold his eyes shut and just open his mouth like he is meowing but nothing comes out,” Faith explained.
“We tell him he will be back and he will open his eyes, but it always looks like he was crying. My dad will come home, pick him up and ask him if we picked on his baby boy and Tig will just rub his face all over Dad’s.
“He definitely has a special bond with my dad.”
