Paul Walker and The Fast Furious franchise are pretty hot topics on the internet right now so you can’t really blame Wheel Of Fortune for jumping in on the conversation. Oh wait, yes you can.
Wheel Of Fortune apologized today for using “The Fast And The Furious” as an answer to one of its puzzles during last night’s episode.
Pat Sajak took to Twitter to explain that the episode was filmed long before Paul Walker’s death. Still, he felt bad about letting the show go to air at over 200 local stations last night.
Feel terrible about timing of “Fast Furious” puzzle tonight. Taped long ago went out to 200 local stations days ago.

The producers of Wheel Of Fortune also apologized for the incident on Twitter.
The show that included the puzzle “The Fast and The Furious” was taped on 10/4/13. It’s an unfortunate coincidence that it aired tonight.

Paul Walker was killed earlier this week in a fiery car crash. Some people have made Fast and Furious jokes about the way Walker died, some have completely forgotten that there was another passenger in the car, and some have made topical puzzles for our amusement. Of course, others, like Paul Walker’s co-stars, have been completely devastated by the news.
