Vijay Raaz (born 5 June 1963) is an Indian film actor. He is known for his comedy skill in Bollywood movies like Run, Delhi Belly, Bombay to Goa, etc.

He is among the Indian film industry’s most talented and under-appreciated stars. While he stars in roles that are mostly short.
He has impeccable comedic timing and excellent serious acting skills. After its debut in 1999, he has appeared in several films, many in the Bollywood film industry. Besides being a renowned actor in films, Vijay is also popularly recognized for his baritone voice and distinct speaking style, making him a top choice for animated films and commercial ads as a Voice-Over (VO) artist.
After Monsoon Wedding’s success, Raaz took on a number of roles. His first mainstream film cast as the leading actor was Raghu Romeo, which success at the box office where Raaz portrays the life of a confused lower-class Indian fellow.
Raaz earned massive recognition for his comedic role in the 2004 film Run. He played an implacable gangster in Delhi Belly in 2011.

He has recently been seen in movies such as Stree, and Gully Boy. Vijay will be best seen in Chopsticks, and Waah Zindagi, in Bollywood movies. He has also worked in Tamil as well as in language films in Malayalam, besides Bollywood. Vijay also tried his hands at direction and made his directorial debut with the 2014 Bollywood movie Kya Dilli Kya Lahore.
As a P.G.D.A.V. College student, at Delhi University. He became a dramatic member of society. He wanted to concentrate on a film career and moved to Mumbai where, in Ram Gopal Varma’s Jungle, he played a small but important role.
Having seen him perform at the NSD, Naseeruddin Shah recommended him to Mahesh Mathai for Bhopal Express and Mira Nair for Monsoon Wedding.
His gruff baritone voice also makes Raaz an artist much sought after for Voice-Over. He lent his voice to various movies and advertising commercials.
