Twitter is all up in the #snowday hashtagging, with most of the Northeast yet again suffocated by a giant blanket of horrible, wet, icy snow. And it’s only February 13 — some years this goes into April.
Schools reluctantly wrote this snowy Thursday off, and the #snowday means that much of the social web is home, bored, and mentally calculating how many vacation days they’re losing in the future, when the weather doesn’t suck.
“Mother Nature” trended for a bit this morning, and we’re noticing some other weird memes — like leaving a ruler in the snow accumulation:

There was clever marketing:
Spend your #snowday at the Met! The Museum is open until 5:30 p.m. and The Cloisters is open until 4:45 p.m. today. pic.twitter.com/lNBE6Q5IoF

Retweets are the new phone tree!

But, let’s face it, these kids are bored as hell:

But if you take one thing away from this post, make it this:
If you’re snowed in, no body will know if you’re drinking by noon. Just sayin #snowday
