Twitter Blames Refs For Michigan Advancing Elite Eight

Michigan beat Tennessee on Friday night, and Twitter blamed the refs

Michigan beat Tennessee 73-71 on Friday to advance to the Elite Eight. If Twitter is right though, Michigan was handed the victory by the referees.

Tennessee was trailing 70-60 with just under four minutes to play when they started a rally that almost won them the game.

Michigan didn’t help themselves out either. Big Blue became a turnover machine, and suddenly Tennessee was down 72-71 with 10 seconds to play.

That’s when all hell broke loose. Tennessee committed a charging foul, a call that fans clearly believe lost Tennessee the game.

At least one person believed Michigan won the game fair and square though.

The road to the Sweet 16 was not easy for Tennessee. As one of the tournaments “First Four” teams, they had to play three games last week.

They played tired as a result, and still almost won. Michigan should be worried heading into the Elite Eight portion of March Madness.

Or not, after all, President Obama picked Michigan to win it all.

The loss by Tennessee was the first for the SEC this tournament, ruining a perfect 8-0 mark.

With Michigan advancing to the Elite Eight, the final field is looking like of the best, most competitive ever. Michigan might not win it all, but it won’t be an upset if they do.
