If you visit Twitter’s home office in San Francisco you should expect your face to end up on the social networks pages. During Twitter’s quarterly hackweeks a developer came up with @Twisitor. The program is simple, visitors stand in front of a camer in the headquarters’ office and a picture is taken.
The platform for the simple but cool software was developed by Mo Kudeki, an International Engineer at Twitter. Kudeki was helped along by @nick,@wyz, @marcelduran and several other Twitter employees from various departments within the organization.
The first @Twisitor tweet was sent out on January 11 and people in photos for the program seem happy to be there.
Other company’s have implemented their own ways to welcome visitors but typically its a welcome video (Facebook) or free WiFi in the lobby (Google).
Twitter unlike its competitors not only celebrates its culture, it engages users in that culture, just check out a few of the sample tweets from the @Twisitor account:

This isn’t the only Twitter account that shows off the company’s awesome San Francisco corporate headquarters, you can also follow @TwisitorCameo to find out the names of all the unnamed people in the background of photos. There is also the “around the office” Twitter account named Twoffice and the teams Lawrence T. Bird account.
Twitter should set this type of program up in photo booths at major malls and allow people to share their love of Twitter with the world. They could call it @TwisitorBooth and we could finally have a replacement for the traditional photo booth.
