Tumblr on Tuesday rolled out a new feature that allows users to email Tumblr posts directly from the homepage or “dashboard.”
The new feature can be found via a drop-down menu that is attached to the share button. That same drop down also leads Tumblr users to the permalink share option.
Simply type in the email address of the person you want to share the post with and your ready to share your Tumblr post.
Keeping with its ultra-simple interface the feature is simple to find yet still hidden away enough that it shouldn’t confuse users who like Tumblr’s straight forward posting system.
Tumblr is likely hoping that users with social contacts will share Tumblr posts and allow them to grow into viral hits.
