Julianne Hough’s Halloween costume was offensive but she probably won’t win the “Most Offensive Costume of the Year” Award. That honor will probably go to these two gentleman who dressed up as George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.
Ppl r so ignorant it’s embarrassing. Why wld u ever think wearing a Trayvon Martin costume is ok?

The costume is offensive for numerous reasons but let’s start with the obvious: Black Face. BLACK FACE! Every year someone puts on black face and every year thousands of people scream “why are you doing that?!” Black face is never OK. Of course, if you are the type of person who thinks that mocking another race is OK you probably don’t have any problem with making jokes about the death of a teenager.
Where does one even wear a Trayvon Martin halloween costume? Like what city is that safe for racists?

But let’s forget about race for the moment because this costume would still be pretty offensive if it didn’t involve black face. The costume is using a teen’s murder as a joke. It doesn’t matter if you think that George Zimmerman was guilty or innocent, a 17-year-old kid still lost his life for no good reason.
I just saw a Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman Halloween costume. That is literally beyond disgusting. People make me so sick.

Of course, the two gentlemen in the photo shouldn’t feel too bad about their poor chase in costume. After all, they weren’t alone…
Tell @RyanMahercomedy what you think of his Trayvon Martin costume. https://t.co/lu2sg82VlD
